Medieval Arms, Armor and Castle Creations

Sailing for All

Join us on Bde Maka Ska for a week of sailing! You will learn to harness the wind to power your boat and to navigate across the water by tacking, jibing, controlling the sails while taking the helm. Experience the thrill of a boat heeling on keelboats. Each day, you will have the opportunity to skipper, crew and swim. We will be using the Minneapolis Sailing Center’s fleet of Ensigns, which allow us to have crews of 6 campers and 1 adult aboard. Sailing is weather and wind dependent. Friday will be offered as a make-up day if we have to cancel for weather. No sailing experience necessary. For safety reasons, participants must be comfortable wearing a life jacket, on the water and in a boat. Please note: this camp is located in UPTOWN and pick up and drop off is at Minneapolis Sailing Center on Bde Maka Ska.

Pride Fashion Camp

Let's make outfits for Pride and self-expression! We will sew, patch, crochet, paint, bead, and tie-dye outfits for the Pride Festival and everyday pride. Ultimate for All

Great River School staff Scott Alsleben and Leona DeRango will once again be teaming up for a week of ultimate camp. This Ultimate Camp is available for all players, but we especially want to invite Female Matching Players to attend. Students in this camp will learn the basic rules of the sport, spirit of the game and the fundamentals of the sport including: throws, basic offense and defensive structure, gaining the experience of participating in a team sport, and having FUN while getting good exercise. FMP's will get a daily opportunity to break away from the rest of the group to scrimmage and/or work on skills in their own group.

A Play in Four Days

Music Foundations

This camp is meant to give 4th-7th graders a better understanding and appreciation of American music over the last century. How did classic folk songs mold into the blues? What influenced the creation of Rock and Roll?  How about Country or Hip hop?  We will learn some basic chords on the guitar, sing some classic folk and blues tunes together. and take a glimpse at different time signatures and learn how the rhythm of a song can affect the overall feeling.  We all love music, so let's learn what makes a song great and find out what influenced the music we now listen to and love.

Adventures in Theater

This camp favorite brings all the aspects of theater to life! You'll get to explore the world of backstage: lighting, costume, sound, and scenic design.
