Are you an experienced ultimate player looking to up your game in the offseason?  Then join our amazing coaches for a week of learning, improving and having fun!  They'll cover the basics of throwing, cutting and defense but also dive into strategy and learning set plays for offense and defense.  You'll also get to play Goaltimate which is a fun version of ultimate.  Above all else, the Spirit of the Game will prevail!

Volleyball Skills, Drills, and Thrills!

Welcome all 7th-10th graders to the GRS volleyball summer camp! Players will be able to practice and refine their volleyball skills through the guidance of Coach Chris Bock and Coach Mary Sollitto. With the Fall and Spring volleyball season approaching, players will be able to have the experience to play alongside some of the highschool TCA/GRS volleyball team. Come join us each day at the park to enjoy the love of volleyball together!

Mana and Meeples: Magic and Board Games

Mana and Meeples is a fun, interactive camp featuring an epic Magic: The Gathering tournament and a variety of strategy and board games. Campers will sharpen their critical thinking skills as they build decks, learn new strategies, and compete in a structured, welcoming tournament environment. When not battling it out in the Magic arena, campers can explore cooperative and competitive board games. Games, cards and instruction will be available making this perfect for both beginners and experienced players.

Beginners Fencing

We will have fencing games, basic footwork practice, blade drills, fencing rules illustration and fencing bouting. Come join us to learn a new sport and have fun learning both fast and elegant sword fighting!  This camp is a program designed for students with less than one year or no experience.  Fencing equipment is provided. Fencing instruction is provided by the Twin Cities Fencing Club with Coach Sasha Pai. Twin Cities Fencing Club values are: community, excellence, respect, inclusion, and fun!

If you're interested in being active in a variety of ways during the nicest time of year, come join us as we explore Como Park.  This will be an afternoon of sports, swimming at Como Pool, fishing Como Lake, exploring the woods, going on a bike ride, flying some kites, playing some games, enjoying s'mores around a campfire or anything else the group decides would be fun. Depending on each day's activity, students can bring their own equipment as well but not required.

Rockin' on the River

This music camp is meant to give students a glimpse of what it's like to be in a band. Your camp leader, Chad, believes these components to be the most important in preparing someone to be a musician that plays shows: strong sense of tempo, learning forms of songs, improvisation, and listening to others. These skills will be the focus of our camp. We will also spend time studying the roots of American Music (Blues, Folk, Jazz, etc). Whether you are a singer, song writer, rhythm maker or player of instrument(s), you can have a spot in our band!

Farm to Table Cooking Camp

In this camp, we will learn some basic cooking skills to stay safe in the kitchen. We will make healthy meals that still taste amazing. We will harvest produce from our garden to work into our meals to learn the importance of using sustainable, fresh ingredients. Bring your apron and your appetite!
